Home Plate Care brings in-home cooking, household care, and warm companionship to people 65 and better — helping you love where you live, without the pressure of keeping up with it all. Serving Maple Grove and nearby communities.
The week's meals planned together and cooked right in your own kitchen — your favorites, portioned, labeled, and ready.
I shop for you — or with you, if you'd like an outing to your favorite grocery store with my help.
Washed, dried, and folded while the meals cook — fresh linens without lifting a finger.
Kitchen cleaned up and the dishes put away before I leave — you come back to a tidy kitchen all week.
Pick a project — a closet, a drawer, the pantry — and it gets done together, at your pace.
Houseplants and garden pots cared for, so everything stays thriving.
Conversation, games, and maybe a new art project you've always wanted to try. I'll listen to your favorite music — or watch your favorite show with you.
Hello! I'm Teresa — a wonderful cook, a spectacular homemaker, and genuinely fun company. I spent 30 years working with people of every kind across the greater Twin Cities area, and I've found my favorite work: helping people enjoy their homes again.
Whether you're hoping to stay in your own home rather than move to a senior community, living with family, or simply ready for some help keeping up with the kitchen, the laundry, and everything around the house — I come to you, cook real meals in your own kitchen where you can watch them come together, take care of the household tasks, and bring a little life and laughter back into the day. There's something special about a kitchen being used and cleaned again, and meals you can smell from the living room.
And it's never just the chores. We'll sit and talk, play a game, try an art project you've always wanted to attempt, listen to your favorite music, or watch your favorite show together. Let's plan a few things that will make for a genuinely fun day while things get done around the house.
Founding-client offer: the first five families enjoy the Core Visit at $99 for the first two months. Neighbors within 10 minutes of each other each save $10 per visit. Groceries are always purchased with your budget and itemized receipts.
I come by for 30 minutes, free and easy. We walk through the kitchen, talk about favorite foods and routines, and just get to know each other.
A one-page agreement, your emergency contacts, dietary needs, and where everything lives. Your family can join by phone from anywhere.
You choose the rhythm — a standing day, a few days, or whenever it helps most. Menu planned ahead, groceries handled, meals made and labeled, house tidier than I found it.
After every visit the family gets a short note: what was cooked, what got done, and anything I noticed. Simple monthly invoicing, and family members can pay from anywhere.
Many of our clients are arranged by sons and daughters who want the very best for a parent — one who is thinking about a senior community but would rather stay home, or who is living with family and could use extra help and company. Home Plate Care is a high-end quality-of-life service for exactly that: a trusted, vetted professional who brings meals, order, and joy back into the house — and relieves the pressure on everyone who loves them. Families can join the first conversation from anywhere in the country, and handle booking and payment from wherever they are.
Tell me a little about your situation and I'll reach out within a day to set up your free 30-minute consultation. We can meet in person at your home — or by phone, FaceTime, or Zoom, whichever you prefer. Family members are always welcome to join the consultation.

Neither exactly. It's personal household help built around a weekly visit: cooking, laundry, errands, and companionship from the same person every week. I don't provide medical or personal care — and if your needs ever grow into that, I'll help your family find a great licensed agency.
No — and honestly, that's on purpose. Keeping the work non-medical is how I keep it personal. Everything around the kitchen and household, though, is fair game.
You do — with your budget and your preferences. Groceries are purchased with your card (or reimbursed with itemized receipts) so you always control the food in your home.
Absolutely — many do. Simple monthly invoices can go to any family member, and recurring payment can be set up by card or bank transfer.
